Huntington Beach, Cal. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that AMSG Fútbol Club will join the USL W League beginning in the 2025 season. The club previously joined USL League Two in 2024.
AMSG FC was formed in 2017 with a mission to nurture soccer talent and create a professional pathway for aspiring athletes. Initially focused on technical and tactical player development, AMSG expanded its vision to include professional training and youth outreach programs. Known for its emphasis on performance excellence and community engagement, the club continues to shape the future of soccer in the area by fostering young talent and building strong local connections.
“We are beyond excited to join the USL W League and be part of this incredible movement driving the growth of women’s soccer,” said Ismaiel Alkayali, Club President. “This is a huge milestone for our club and we can’t wait to showcase the passion, talent, and determination of our players on such a prestigious platform. Joining the W League is an opportunity to inspire, empower, and celebrate the amazing athletes who are shaping the future of the sport. The journey ahead is full of excitement and we are ready to give it our all.”
AMSG is committed to giving back to the North Orange County community through impactful partnerships and initiatives. The club partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters to mentor youth and with Project in Access to promote inclusivity by creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in sports. AMSG is also set to collaborate next year with Families Forward to provide resources to support local families in need.
Notable AMSG FC alumni includes US Women’s National Team defender Jenna Nighswonger and USL Super League players Tati Fung (Fort Lauderdale United FC) and Elysie Laramie (Lexington SC).
AMSG FC will play their home matches at Westminster High School in Westminster, California, as a member of the Western Conference.
“AMSG continues to impress on and off the field with its dedication to the development of its players and its community,” said Joel Nash, SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. “The club has already made its presence known in League Two and at the USL Academy level, so we’re excited to see AMSG bring its talent into the W League.”
